I am very fond of hotel staycations but ever since I started using Airbnb, I find it the most economical and practical accommodation whenever I travel. Last February, I was looking for a place to stay at Resorts World Manila. Me and husband watched the Earth, Wind and Fire Experience concert at the Newport Performing Arts Theater and decided to spend the night at RWM instead of driving back to Antipolo.
I stayed at the studio unit hosted by Lovely at 150 Newport Boulevard just across Savoy Hotel. Lovely’s place has a very convenient location. The shuttle station for FREE shuttle services going to Newport Mall, Maxims, Marriott is located a few steps from the lobby. There is also a CityLink bus going to Eastwood Mall in Libis. It is also a quick walk to Runway Manila, the newly-opened footbridge linking Resorts World Manila to NAIA Terminal 3. Restaurants and convenience stores (Lawson and Korean store) are lined up at the ground floor.
The unit is spacious and can comfortably sleep three people. The smart tv has Netflix, YouTube, and cable channels access. The free wifi connection is fast.
The refrigerator in the kitchen is full size, there's a microwave oven and a coffee / tea making facility.
The framed wall art converts into a two-seater dining table / workstation. I smart way for a space saver. Dining utensils are also provided.
The bed is very comfy. When I woke up the next morning, I thought I was in my own bed. Truly a home away from home.
What I like:
- the unit is clean and spacious
- the simple interior design
- the location
- parking space (pay parking) is available in the building
- accessibility
- the convenience stores and restaurants nearby
- the host, Lovely, is very responsive
What can be improved:
- install used towel / clothes hook in the bathroom
- the bathroom door knob needs to be replaced (does not easily open from the inside)
I only paid P1,693.50 for the overnight stay. Way cheaper because I used to stay at Marriott whenever I'm in Resorts World Manila.
Will I book this unit again? Definitely.
