Smoothies recipes for fat burning

I am guilty of starving myself whenever I feel like I'm starting to gain weight again. Being an Asian means I am a rice eater. Reducing carbohydrates intake has been an effective diet for me but it always makes me feel hungry and a bit sluggish. I discovered that if I substitute carbs with protein, I will still have the energy I need to perform my daily activities.

Last June, I got a personal blender and decided to make some adjustments in my diet. I have in my pantry some chia seeds and flax seeds so why not include them in my smoothies as well. Here are some of my smoothies recipes for fat burning.


1-fruit Smoothies 

1 cavendish banana
2 tbsp cocoa powder
1 cup almond milk
1 tbsp honey (optional)
1 tsp chia seeds soaked in water
1 tsp flax seeds

Put in the blender all the ingredients except for the chia seeds and flax seeds which you will add after you achieve the smooth texture of the smoothies. The banana will already make the drink sweet but you may add 1 tbsp of honey if you prefer it a bit sweeter.


2-fruit Smoothies

1 cavendish banana
3 pieces strawberries
1 tsp chia seeds soaked in water
1 tsp flax seeds
1/2 cup water or 1/2 cup crushed ice

Put in the blender the banana, strawberries, and water / crushed ice and blend until you achieve the smooth texture. Add in the flax seed and chia seeds before drinking.


3-fruit Smoothies

1 cavendish banana
1 orange (juiced)
1 kiwi
1 tsp chia seeds soaked in water
1 tsp flax seeds
1/2 cup of water or 1/2 cup crushed ice

Put in the blender the banana, orange juice, kiwi fruit, and water / crushed ice and blend until you achieve the smooth texture. Add in the flax seed and chia seeds before drinking.
